A: A full bathroom remodel can cost more then ten thousand dollars or we can install a new toilet for a couple hundred bucks. There are many variables that decide what each unique job will cost. What we recommend is to speak to one of our limited mobility design experts. We will listen to your needs, concerns and requests. Then we can fit those needs with as many options as there are available and come up with a better idea of what a home modification would cost and figure out what funding is available.

Helpful Hint: Do your home work or talk to a professional you trust, there are lots of contractors who just want to make money and will install a cheap or knockoff product that wont last. Also make sure the finished product doesn’t just look good but will serve the correct purpose for years to come.

Q: Does my insurance carrier cover the cost of this product?

A: In the limited mobility building industry the general rule is an insurance company will not cover the cost of most of the products and services we offer. The reason for that is the governing body of health insurance companies is Medicare and they don't recognize these products and services as medically necessary. There is however special funding available in the State of Pennsylvania for home modifications and the products associated with them. We have working relationships with many of the funding sources and would be happy to help you find a source to make that dream bathroom a reality, just give us a call.

Q: My mother lives with us and she needs to be able to get upstairs, can you come out and show us what we need to do?

A: Yes, we would be happy to set up a time and date with you to come out to your house and get an idea of what your current and future needs are and how we can meet them, we have many options to choose from. Our initial evaluations are always free. We also offer complete home consultations and design services, so you can plan your additions and renovations properly. Then when you are ready to start work we can complete the job for you with our experienced professionals.

Q: How long does it take for your company to remodel a bathroom?

A: Every job is unique. We would have to sit down and figure out what are the elements of the job and how long each one is, before we could come up with a total estimate of hours. Keep in mind when we look at an existing bathroom we can’t see through walls and under tile floors. What we have is experience and if we tell you a element of a job will cost a specific amount and take a certain length of time to complete you won't have to worry about those amounts changing with out your prior knowledge and approval. There are always colors to change and options to choose. So when we review our job, all of those details are worked out and you will always be aware of the progress of the work we are involved in.

Helpful Hint: Additionally we recommend you think about what services the bathroom offers (i.e., showering, toileting, and the use of the sink area). You and your family should come up with some ideas of where you would need to relocate those services for a extended period of time while your bathroom is being remodeled.

A: Yes, we like to involve family members in any way we can. We do recommend that anyone doing work on the assigned project be certified in the trade the project requires, so that all building codes are properly met. Also we ask them to be there when we evaluate the work and present when we review the job scope before work begins. That way anyone involved is on the same page and there are limited surprises throughout the project.

Helpful Hint: We use the same subcontractors on many of our larger projects. In many cases a professional tradesman can complete work in half the time it would take even the seasoned do-it-yourself homeowner, and the work is often guaranteed.
